Privacy Policy

PostShow respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our websites, web app, mobile apps, Artists portal, and related services (together, "PostShow").

Account and profile information. Name, username, email address, password (stored by our authentication provider), profile photo, bio, website, gender identity (if you choose to provide it), and account privacy settings (public or private).

Content you create. Reviews, photos and other media attached to reviews, comments, likes, reposts, bookmarks, archived reviews, follow relationships, favorite artists, direct messages and message media, and artist-profile claim requests and messages.

Location. With your permission, we collect approximate or precise device location so we can show upcoming shows near you. On mobile and web, location may be cached on your device for a limited time to reduce repeated permission prompts. We do not use location for advertising.

Device and usage information. Device and browser details, IP address and related log data, authentication session cookies or tokens, app and site interaction data needed to operate and secure the service, and preference data stored on your device (such as theme and onboarding selections).

Communications and support. Emails you send us, waitlist or early-access signups, unsubscribe preferences, content reports you submit (including reasons and details), and related support records.

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account and authentication sessions
• Display your profile, reviews, social activity, and messaging according to your settings
• Show nearby shows and personalize discovery features that depend on location or favorites
• Process artist claims, content reports, and moderation actions
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve PostShow
• Send service-related communications and, if you join a waitlist or marketing list, related updates
• Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Use and policies

Your public profile information and activity may be visible to other PostShow users according to your privacy settings. Private accounts limit who can see certain content, subject to platform features such as follow requests.

We use service providers that process data on our behalf to operate PostShow, including:

• Supabase — authentication, database storage, and related backend services
• Cloudflare R2 — hosting for profile photos, review media, and message media
• Vercel — application hosting and related infrastructure
• Ticketmaster and Spotify — artist, event, and catalog data used to power discovery features (your search or browsing requests may be processed through our servers when those features are used)
• Email delivery providers (when configured) — transactional or waitlist communications

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety or rights of PostShow or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar corporate transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

You can update profile information and account privacy settings in the app. You can deny or revoke location and photo-library permissions in your device settings (nearby shows and media uploads may be limited if you do).

You can permanently delete your account in Settings → Delete account on the web and mobile apps. Deletion removes your profile, content, messages, and uploaded media from our active systems. Some limited records may be retained as needed for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement (for example, report or audit records). If you cannot access the in-app flow, contact privacy@postshow.app.

Marketing or waitlist emails include an unsubscribe option where required. Service-related messages may still be sent when necessary to operate your account.

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Location cached on your device is kept only for a short period and can be cleared when you clear app or browser storage.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encrypted connections where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

PostShow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the service when appropriate.
